Third project meeting at Technical College of Food Industry Suceava - Romania
In the week 2nd - 7th of June 2014 took place the third project meeting of the project "Science Experiments on Renewable EnergieS" at Technical College of Food Industry Suceava Romania. At this meeting had participated groups of teachers and pupils from all the partner schools: France (2 teachers - 6 pupils), Turkey (4 teachers - 4 pupils), Lithuania (2 teachers - 2 pupils), Italy (2 teachers - 6 pupils), Netherlands (2 teachers - 6 pupils) and of course the hosting Romanian teachers and pupils. The programme of the meeting for the four working days was extremely interesting, based on water energy and according to our project objectives.
In the first morning we watched water energy presentations and movies illustrating the principle of the hydroelectric powerplant.
Then we start our funny experiments session, where every team presented the movie of their experiment or the live experiment.
In the afternoon we visited the "Stefan cel Mare" University, the Planetarium and some labs at the Electrical Engineering Faculty.
The second day programme was dedicated to Global Warming theme. Firstly, all the teams presented their own presentations about Global Warming.
After a short break, pupils were split in mixed teams and had to create a poster on a given Global Warming theme. The results of their work were beautiful.
Third day was dedicated to the visit of the hydropower plant "Dimitrie Leonida" from Stejaru-Pangarati, Neamt county. The group visited also the dam and the reservoir, the Izvorul Muntelui Lake.
In the fourth day all the pupils and teachers took part in the Biodiversity Contest, which this year had the theme "Tomorrow starts today". Pupils from different highschools from Suceava county present their work in the sections of the contest: PowerPoint Presentations, Movies, Creativity and Posters.
Also some cultural visits were done, at some of the old medieval churches from Gura Humorului area, and some traditional museums.
In the evening of the final day, all the pupils and teachers took part at a final dinner together.
