In the week 13th - 18th of October 2014 took place the fourth project meeting of the Comenius Project "Science Experiments on Renewable EnergieS" at Zibartoniu Pagrindine Mokykla, Lithuania. At this meeting had participated groups of teachers and pupils from all the partner schools: France (2 teachers - 6 pupils), Turkey (3 teachers - 3 pupils), Romania (3 teachers - 4 pupils),  Italy (1 teacher - 2 pupils), Netherlands (2 teachers - 5 pupils) and of course the hosting Lithuanian teachers and pupils. The programme of the meeting for the four working days was extremely well organised, combining funny experiments session, biomass powerplant visit with beautiful cultural visits in the Krekenava area, Vilnius area and Siauliai area.

         In the first morning we were warmly welcomed by the headmaster and the school teachers. Then we visited the school, which is a very nice and modern one, decorated with a lot of artcrafts made from recyclable materials.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            Then we start our funny experiments session, where every team presented the movie of their experiment or the live experiment. This was a very appreciated activity, both by pupils and teachers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

          After the lunch, the group visited Krekenava Cathedral, Byson Museum and the Byson Reservation. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

        Second day we made a cultural trip to Trakai Castle, Gediminas Tower and Palace Museum in Vilnius, representative places for Lithuanian country.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

          Third day we visited Cross Hill in Siauliai, the beautiful Byke Museum, the Biomass Powerplant and the Chocolate Museum, also in Siauliai. The visit at Biomass Plant showed us all the technological process of the wood waste transforming into electrical energy, very important for our project objectives!

            Last day all the pupils and the teachers met at Zibartoniai where a wonderful Show was presented by the school pupils. Everybody enjoyed themselves very much. In the final, the certificates of attendance were given to all participants.
